Our multi-certified shop floor handles structural steel, aerospace-grade aluminum, heavy armor plate, and exotic alloys, ensuring robust mechanical integration from prototype stages to full production runs. Whether we design it, build it, or both, our experts can weld and / or fabricate your projects to ensure that they meet the highest of standards. Every welded assembly undergoes rigorous quality control directed by our on-staff Certified Level III Weld Inspector. We offer comprehensive Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) capabilities, including Visual Testing (VT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT). This internal governance guarantees defect-free structural integrity and full compliance with strict defense, aerospace, and commercial power generation customer specifications.

We are certified and qualified to the following AWS American Welding Society codes:

  • AWS D1.1 – Steel: We execute precise structural steel welding utilizing advanced MIG and TIG parameters to ensure compliant load-bearing assemblies.
  • AWS D1.2 – Aluminum: Our team delivers defect-free, high-strength aluminum fabrication optimized for weight-sensitive applications.
  • AWS D1.3 – Sheet Steel: Our facility operates in strict accordance with the AWS D1.3 Structural Welding Code for Sheet Steel. This certification permits our team to execute high-integrity, thin-gauge carbon steel welding on structural components, panels, and frames under 3/16 inches (4.8 mm) thick. Adherence to AWS D1.3 guarantees that our sheet metal fabrications achieve optimal load-bearing strength without experiencing burn-through, warping, or micro-cracking.
  • AWS D1.6 – Stainless Steel: Toner Machining Technologies delivers elite-level stainless steel fabrication compliant with the AWS D1.6 Structural Welding Code. Our multi-process welders utilize advanced TIG and MIG parameters specifically engineered to maintain the corrosion resistance, mechanical properties, and structural integrity of austenitic, ferritic, and duplex stainless steels. This capability ensures clean, contaminant-free welds designed for high-stress, corrosive, or sanitary environments.
  • AWS D9.1 – Sheet Metal: We conform fully to the AWS D9.1 Sheet Metal Welding Code, specializing in the precision fabrication of non-structural sheet metal assemblies and components. Our team is highly experienced in manipulating and welding thin-gauge ferrous and non-ferrous materials—including galvanized steel, carbon steel, and aluminum—to construct tight-tolerance industrial enclosures, specialized ductwork, electronic chassis, and protective guard systems.
  • AWS D17.1 – Fusion Welding: We conform to critical aerospace criteria for military and commercial aviation components, utilizing strict heat control and cleanroom preps.
  • ASME Newline BAC: Toner Machining Technologies strictly executes manufacturing and quality protocols that align with the ASME Section XI Boric Acid Corrosion (BAC) control programs. This integrated quality discipline guarantees that all safety-related components engineered for nuclear power plants utilize materials, coatings, and structural designs validated to withstand corrosive environments and prevent degradation, ensuring continuous compliance with federal reactor coolant pressure boundary requirements.

  • Stick Welding (SMAW): provides comprehensive Stick Welding (Shielded Metal Arc Welding - SMAW) services engineered for heavy structural fabrication and high-strength mechanical assemblies. Our certified welders utilize advanced SMAW parameters to achieve deep-penetration joints on heavy-gauge carbon steel and structural alloy plates, ensuring absolute load-bearing reliability and structural integrity for demanding industrial and defense applications.
  • Precision Fixturing Layout: Utilizes 5 ft. x 8 ft. and 4 ft. x 4 ft. Acorn Welding Tables alongside high-capacity rotary positioners up to 350 lbs. to ensure strict dimensional alignment.
  • Environmental Governance: Full facility smoke and contaminant protection featuring Kemper extraction systems and integrated downdraft airflow setups.
